During the month of August all GLASSES will be reduced 20% from their current prices. DiSH has an array of glasses produced from the 1920’s to the 1960’s. Cheese spreads came in Swanky Swigs (juice glasses) in the 1930’s; many glasses were given away by stores as promotional items.
Crystal stemware for water, wine and champagne in a myriad of patterns were produced in the 1030’s by Fostoria, Tiffin, Cambridge, and Imperial (among others). Informal dining became popular after World War II with the cocktail hour and outdoor barbecues. Sets of glasses (6-8) with pitchers and portable stands dominated the 1950’s, some designed by Fred Press. Glasses often remind visitors to DiSH of family memories! They also make great gifts!
